We may call it an inshore / nearshore charter, but that doesn’t mean we’ll spend all day in the backwater or on the flats when you book one of these trips with Pensacola Fishing Charters. We like to offer anglers a number of different options when they book an inshore / nearshore fishing charter. All charter fishing is done in Pensacola Bay, Santa Rosa Sound, and the Gulf of Mexico in Pensacola, Perdido Key, Navarre, and Pensacola Beach. The weather often plays a big role in what we can or cannot do using the inshore / nearshore charter boats that range from 22 to 26 feet. All of our inshore / nearshore boats can comfortably accommodate four anglers, but we do have some that can take additional anglers up to six passengers. Pensacola Bay is the deepest bay in the State of Florida so unlike anywhere else we get an abundance of red snapper, gag grouper, and king mackerel inside Pensacola Bay during certain times of the year. Nonetheless, our speckled trout and redfish action is excellent and we have some of the best backwater guides in the business with many many years of tournament experience. There are also times when we can take advantage of the hot bite with sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, and black snapper. When the weather cooperates and our small boats can get out in the Gulf they catch many of the same species as our big fishing charter boats like red snapper, amberjack, triggerfish, grouper, mackerel, and bonita. Another popular option many of our visitors like to take advantage of is our great shark fishing and that can be done in Pensacola Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
