Walk on charters with Pensacola Fishing Charters is an excellent option for individuals in town on business or small groups who don’t want to pay for the entire boat. A walk on fishing charter is basically a shared expense trip which enables a lot of people the opportunity to go fishing. All walk on charters are either 6 or 8 hour trips and we do both six pack and multipassenger trips. The six pack walk ons are a little more expensive, but you get the luxury of not having any more than a total of six people on the boat during the fishing charter. All walk on charters will be bottom fishing for red snapper, gag grouper, triggerfish, amberjack, vermillion snapper, and scamp, but occasionally you’ll get a chance to tangle with a king mackerel, wahoo, or blackfin tuna. From March through August there is usually a walk on charter going out each day, but they do fill up fast and there are very few walk on charter boats located in Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key, or Navarre so be sure to call and book your spot. There are times when you can walk up and get on a boat in the morning, but don’t bet on it. Walk on trips are great for everyone, but if you have small children or this is the family’s first time fishing in Florida you may want to consider the inshore / nearshore trip. When you board the boat for a walk on your on there until the end no matter what since the boat is full of people you likely don’t know. Just like with all of our other Pensacola charter fishing trips you don’t need to bring anything except for your food, drinks, a hat, and sunscreen. We’ll take care of licenses, rod & reels, bait, tackle, and ice so just make sure you show up ready to have some fun.
